Conferences:

AABC will sponsor annual conferences.  As appropriate, from time-to-time, specialized regional conferences may also be sponsored or endorsed. View upcoming conferences here.

Classroom Training:

AABC approved classroom training is available through a growing list of recognized programs that meet AABC criteria (view here).  For example, in the St. Louis, MO area through Gateway Biblical Counseling and Training Center.  Contact Gateway for complete information.

AABC may also recognize classroom training taken at other institutions, providing it meets the AABC criteria for academic rigor and quality assurance.  Applicants are encouraged to contact AABC before enrolling, or to submit training already taken for review.

Online Live Seminars:

AABC approved online training is available through a growing list of recognized programs that meet AABC criteria for academic rigor and quality assurance (view here).  For example, the seminar division of Master’s International School of Divinity.  Contact Master’s for complete information.

AABC may also approve online training taken at other institutions, providing it meets the AABC criteria for academic rigor and quality assurance.  Applicants are encouraged to contact AABC before enrolling, or to submit training already taken for review.

Self-paced Distance Study:

AABC approved self-paced distance study courses to meet minimum educational requirements for certification may be taken through a growing list of recognized institutions (see below).

AABC may also approve self-paced distance study taken through other institutions, providing it meets the AABC criteria for academic rigor and quality assurance.  Applicants are encouraged to contact AABC before enrolling, or to submit training already taken for review.

Continuing Education Units (CEU) Defined:

CEUs may be earned through sponsored or approved conferences, events, training or academic level courses.  Specifically:

  • Ten clock hours of assigned reading with a report are equal to three (3) CEUs.
  • Six clock hours of lectures whether synchronous or asynchronous are equal to three (3) CEUs.
  • One three-credit hour academic course is equal to nine (9) CEUs.
  • Sponsored or approved opportunities will be assessed by AABC for CEU value.
